President's Message

January 2020

On behalf of the Saint John Neumann’s Men’s Club Board of Directors, I want to wish each of you and your families a joyful and hopeful New Year.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank Hans Bockleman, a representative of the Biscayne National Park Institute, our January 2020 speaker who gave us an excellent presentation on Biscayne National Park, it’s history, features and amenities.

We have a number of activities coming up in the next few months that need everyone’s support.

In February we have our annual Julio Valdivia cigar night meeting at our February Meeting.  Also, our “Swing into Spring” Dinner Dance (formerly known as Sweethearts night) will take place on Saturday April 18th at Resurrection Hall. And our annual golf tournament will take place on May 16th.  Please note these events in your calendars.

Our  Tom Rhodes III Golf Tournament, to be held on May 16th, needs your help in obtaining sponsors and small raffle gifts. The annual golf tournament is our major fund-raising event for the year and needs your support.  We need each of you to take time to secure some support from our local merchants, in the form of a donation or gift card at their place of business. On the website is a list of the sponsorship levels and signups to play in the tournament.

At our March Meeting, we are honored to have Archbishop Wenski as our guest.  For both the March meeting and the Swing into Spring event, we will be asking to RSVP to future Flocknote announcements.  This RSVP is necessary for adequate meal planning.

Please plan on attending our February Cigar night meeting and bring a relative, friend or neighbor to the meeting. To be a viable and sound organization, we need new members, especially younger adults.

Thank you and God Bless you and your families in the new year.
