President's Message

November 2019

Happy Thanksgiving to all of the St John Neumann Men’s Club members and their families. We all need to take time this Thanksgiving and reflect on our many blessings as individuals, families and Americans.

We need take time to thank God for all we have and consider what have done and what we have failed to do for those less fortunate.

Thanks to all of you who attended our November meeting, especially our new members. And please thank our fellow brothers who worked to set up our meeting room and especially to Jim Iovino and his kitchen staff. The Turkey dinner was delicious.

For those of you who attended our November meeting, I hope you enjoyed it a much as I did.  Ed Newman surely had some interesting stories of his professional football life. His life is a fine example of putting forth your best effort, and accepting the challenges of life with a positive attitude.

Please bring back the toiletries bag at the December meeting with travel size containers of toiletries. These items will be distributed to the homeless at the Miami Rescue Mission by our Homeless ministry.

Our December meeting (Monday December 2, 2019 at 6:30 as usual) will be the annual Father and Child meeting.  Our guest speaker will be Ron Magill of the Zoo Miami.  Hope to see you there.

We are also supporting the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Assembly in their honoring veterans on November 11, 2019 at 6:30 pm with a meal and a speaker (Attorney James Heaton) who will talk about the benefits and opportunities available to veterans. All veterans and a guest are invited.  Veterans are encouraged to bring a photo of themselves in uniform.  Please RSVP to Tim O’Connor at

Happy Thanksgiving to all and God Bless you and your families.

four decades, he sponsored dozens of new Catholics in the RCIA program,

organized the Usher Ministry, and was a leader in the Miami Cursillo

entering the SJN sanctuary.

Paul Banaszak, Sean O'Brien, Frank Sioli, John O'Brien, Eric Schwindeman,

Gerry Scott, Ray Octaviano, and Ed Zaldivar.

They were joined by Men's Club Members and their families that included
